WHAT
DO I NEED TO BRING?
You should
bring the following:
Your usual bedtime clothes (preferably two-piece for females)
Something to read or work on while awake during non-sleep periods
Personal toilet items, shampoo, comb, brush, etc.(We will supply
the towels)
Change of clothes, if you want for the next day
Any needed medications (none will be supplied by our facility)
A list of all medications you have taken during the past two
(2) weeks.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING ALL EMERGENCY MEDICATIONS,
SUCH AS INHALERS, NITRO PILLS, ETC. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS,
PLEASE CALL DR. RAMAKRISHNA.
INSURANCE
INFORMATION
SRI Sleep Disorder Center accepts most of the major insurance
carriers in this area. These include First Priority, Geisinger,
Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Medicare, Cigna, and Aetna. If you
have any questions regarding insurance information, please contact
our office.
HOW
TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT
You can make an appointment by calling (570) 969-0161.
Your physician can refer you directly for a sleep test or he
can refer you for a consultation with the medical director.
In this instance, the medical director will determine if a sleep
test is necessary.
DO
I HAVE A SLEEP DISORDER?
These are the following symptoms of sleep disorders.
1. Loud disruptive snoring.
2. Breathing pauses during sleep.
3. Restless sleep.
4. Insomnia i.e., too longer time to fall asleep, frequent awakenings
during sleep, or waking up early in the morning.
5. Sleep walking and sleep talking.
6. Excessive daytime sleepiness or fatigue.
Sleep
apnea is more common in the patients with hypertension, cardiovascular
disease, and the patients with a history of stroke.
